“Citizen of the Year Nomination”
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS!
The Joppatowne Lions Club “Citizen of the Year” award was established to recognize individual members or small local, non-chain businesses within our community who have demonstrated a selfless devotion to the betterment of the community-at-large through extraordinary public service and volunteer endeavors.
The following criteria should be used as a general guideline when considering nominating someone for this award:
- An individual or small local business (non-chain) who selflessly volunteers their time and talents in an effort to help make Joppatowne a better place to live, work or play for all residents and visitors.
- An individual or small business by demonstration, that has made a positive difference in the lives of Joppatowne residents by serving on school, church, athletic or community service oriented committees.
- A person who has demonstrated a willingness to work with Joppatowne residents and others towards the betterment of our community.
- Someone who is enthusiastic about the town and its residents, and who works continually to positively promote and champion Joppatowne and its residents in the eyes of others around the County and State.
The Joppatowne Lions Club Board of Directors will conduct a vote on the nominations and select an awardee(s) at our Board meeting in January of 2019. The award will be presented at a to-be-determined public event in March 2019. All members of the public will be invited to attend.
** Joppatowne Lions Club members are not eligible for this award.
