Welcome, and thank you for playing the Joppatowne Lions Club’s ‘120 Raffle’!
What is it?
The ‘120 Raffle’ is essentially a game of chance and works the same as a 50/50 raffle; 50% of the monies collected from ticket sales are awarded to the winners at the time of the drawings and 50% is deposited in the General Fund for the Lions Club to use in support of its community projects. In addition to the online purchase option, Lions Club members will offer up for sale a total of 120 tickets for the raffle. Once all tickets have been sold, we will conduct the Raffle on the date specified.
How do I play?
It’s a simple process; you purchase one or more tickets at the advertised price, we mail the body of the ticket to you and deposit the corresponding, serialized stub into the drawing bin. Tickets can be purchased online here or through one of our members directly.
What are the prizes?
The 120 Raffle will award the following prizes:
Five (5)- $15 Prizes
Three (3)- $25 Prizes
Two (2)- $50 Prizes
One (1)- $100 Prize
Grand Prize- $250 !!!
How are the winners determined?
We will conduct twelve (12) drawings to determine prize winners. After the first draw is made and the winners determined, all tickets, including previous prize winners, will be recirculated/shuffled in the bin for the next draw. In other words, should you win a $15 prize on the first draw your ticket will be put back into the bin for another chance to win on the subsequent drawing(s). In theory, after twelve (12) drawings, each ticket holder has the opportunity to win up to a maximum of six-hundred ($600) dollars. The more tickets you purchase, the greater your odds.
How do I collect my winnings?
Raffle winners will be notified by mail or phone depending upon the information provided at the time of ticket purchase. You can attended the next regularly scheduled Lions club meeting (check our ‘Events Calendar’) or we can mail a check directly to you. We cannot mail cash.
When is the drawing and can I attend?
The drawing date for this raffle will be held at 7:00pm on July 6, 2017 at the Copenhaver Park Lions Clubhouse (664 Trimble Rd., Joppatowne). The public is always invited to attend open general meetings and we encourage you to do so.
